“In a fragmented world where mind is severed from body, culture from planet, and the material from the spiritual, we have a deep need for systems that allow us to reclaim our wholeness.”
— Anodea Judith
Women’s Qigong.
When we bring awareness to ourselves as a body, we start to uncover our inner truths. We notice what creates tension and stress, when we feel safe enough to be vulnerable, how we connect best with others — and, perhaps most importantly, how to calm and restore our nervous system in times of uncertainty and challenge.
The science is clear, chronic stress plays a major role in many of the leading health issues of our time — from high blood pressure and heart disease to depression, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders. But what’s often missing from that conversation is the connection between personal stress and the wider systems we live in. The pace, pressure, and disconnection of modern life aren’t accidents; they’re the conditions many of us are expected to survive in.
Qigong offers another way. Grounded in an ancient Chinese practice of cultivating life force energy for health and longevity, I guide you through movements, embodied visualisations, meditations, sound healing, and breathwork that support both your physical health and your sense of agency. These practices enhance bodily awareness, balance your nervous system, and reconnect you with the magic and dignity of what it means to be alive.
At Qi By The Sea, movement isn’t just about feeling better in your body — it’s about building the steadiness, clarity, and resilience to live differently in the world. When we move with awareness, we strengthen our capacity to care for ourselves and for each other. We become harder to divide, overwhelm, or silence. We start to understand that personal wellbeing and collective wellbeing are inseparable — and that movement can be a powerful tool for creating change in both.
